Angelina Bartolozzi

Master Teacher/Choreographer

Angelina Bartolozzi is a dancer, teacher, and choreographer. Originally from Vineland, New Jersey, she trained with Maxine’s Dance Studio LLC. and the Vineland Regional Dance Company (VRDC), spending summers training at Alonzo King Lines Ballet, Burklyn Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, and Pennsylvania Ballet.

She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Purchase College, SUNY with a BFA in Dance Performance and a BA in Arts Management. During her time at Purchase College, Angelina performed works by Jenelle Figgins and Doug Varone, as well as performed in the Purchase College Opera’s Dido and Aeneas. Additionally, Angelina had the honor of performing an excerpt of In the Middle Somewhat Elevated by William Forsythe (staged by Jodie Gates). She has continued to return to her roots by guest performing in the VRDC’s Annual Nutcracker Ballet

In addition to her dance training and performing, Angelina is also an active teacher and choreographer. She has taught classes, workshops, and festivals throughout the Northeastern United States in all styles to all age groups. Additionally, her Arts Management Bachelor of Arts Thesis paper at Purchase College, SUNY, focused on progressing dance education standards across the country: particularly on improving proper anatomical, kinesiological, socio-cultural, and mental health education within dance education settings.

She also continues to choreograph throughout the Northeastern United States; she has had eight works premiere with the VRDC since 2014. Her work, Run, was chosen to close the Emerging Choreographers Showcase Performance at the Regional Dance America Northeast Festival in 2016, making her the youngest choreographer in the organization to do so. And in May of 2022 Angelina’s work, Wake Up, was performed as a full-performing work for the Regional Dance America Northeast Festival. Angelina is also passionate about physical fitness and is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer.

Angelina is ecstatic to begin the next chapter of her life in Charleston, South Carolina where she will be a teacher on staff at numerous dance studios in the area. Angelina is also elated to be dancing in her first season with Palmetto City Ballet.

Ms. Bartolozzi has staged a work for the VRDC for their 2023 season and will be master teaching throughout the season.
